I've noticed a great many people come to aide page and do drive by postings. I'm not sure if this is the "norm" as I've not been on aide page long but I feel it's not productive, but perhaps it is out of fear or a lack of feeling comfortable.
I've seen a great many helpful posts giving great links and suggestions. There are many who genuinely want to help. However, there are a few posts that seem to be either motivated by the latest gimmick or service, or others that are very one-sided.
I think what we need to take into consideration is that everyone is different. We all come from various religious backgrounds, cultures, and so forth. We must all respect this when giving advise or suggestions.
Those asking for help, well I encourage you to come back often. Check at least once a week to see if someone has responded to your post. You may find that some wonderful resources were given, or a friendly ear was provided.
